Nature is the wonder of the natural and physical world. It is possible to listen and feel our connection with nature, thus plays a significant role in our lives. Nature serves as a playground, a meditation place, a waste absorber, a habitat as well as a provider of natural resources. Do you ever forget to breathe? When thinking of life, several events cross my mind but an outstanding experience at Lake Turkana national park in Kenya remains vivid. This park is a stopover for birds, a breeding place for the Nile crocodile and a healthy ecosystem of plants and animals. The diversity of the birds is incredible. The humming and buzzing of birds and insects is melodious. The rustling of the leaves and the sound of the wind on the lake is irresistible.
Being an area that nears the lake, conventional rain is a norm, and this day was not an exception as it rained in the afternoon. Walking in the rain, listening to the sound of the water drops and watching the rainwater fall into the lake was breath taking. The breeze from the lake left a relaxing feeling and a stillness that I had never experienced CITATION Mit08 \l 1033 (Mitchell, 2008). After the rain, a rainbow appeared in the beautiful colours exemplified in an arc. I stared in the direction of the rainbow and marvelled at the wonders of nature. After some time, the sun was shining brightly, and the drastic changes in weather patterns continued to emphasize the beauty of nature. A magnificent sunset summed up the day; it was breathe taking and memorable.
