Introduction
Developing my Personal Development Plan will be a lifelong process of shaping, correcting and adjusting my strengths and weaknesses and keeping a record of the progress we make along the journey. I see this as a chance to know myself and keep a balance and a focus on my life. Developing a Personal Development Plan is not an easy task as it involves a touch with one inner aspirations and perception towards life. Life in itself is not predictable as we live by the day. However, a clear vision can go a long way in helping one develop a comprehensive Personal Development Plan. Setting objective in life involves a deeper understanding of oneself. In my case, confidence in me is the first step towards attaining my goals. Effective goal setting involves setting realistic goals that are within reach. In addition, my confidence is essential as it ensures that I do not under-estimate myself, and my ability to become a successful person. Flexibility in the set goals is another aspect because being rigid may limit my progress and result in disillusionment in case I fail to reach them. Using such aspects, I can comfortably set what I want to achieve in life. I will begin by looking at my strong points and opportunities within my reach that will help me set realistic and attainable goals. I will then examine my weaknesses and the threats my goals face as I struggle to achieve them.
SWOT Analysis
It is quite difficult to find out or to evaluate yourself through you own eyes. Everyone has their own views that differ from those of others. I do not think everyone can be perfect because in life, everything has its good and bad sides, and so does every human being. After asking my friends and my family and drawing up my pros and cons, I finally came up with some things that I could use to describe myself. I will consider myself a very dedicated person and quite confident. In many cases, I have been told that I am reliable, and I am around when someone needs a hand or needed advice. This is one of my strengths made possible through my excellent listening skills and my good communication. My other strengths include the fact that I am very ambitious, adaptable and objective. If I want to do something or achieve something in life, I will go for it, even when it is risky. I have good time management skills, which are very import when prioritising tasks. This is essential in a business environment since good time management skills are the basis of running an organisation. The weak areas of my personality are my stubbornness and sometimes negativity, which worries me sometimes as this can be a problem or cause some difficulties in the future. However, I am still young a learning. As long as I keep working hard and remain focused, I will conquer these issues.
