Security, on both a personal and organizational level, is quite an integral part of life. It becomes even more pronounced when there is a combination of public and personal elements in it. It is due to this reason that security levels will always be divided into three main categories namely; administrative, physical as well as technical (Stewart, Chapple & Gibson, 2015). Many organizations usually have both the physical as well as the intangible controls that help in security. This issue between Allison and Brad poses a question on matters to do with personal and corporate property, and just where the line is and should be drawn as far as responsibility goes.
Security measures for both should obviously be implemented anywhere that the interests of the business extend to. For instance, if Brad could have been using an asset belonging to the company at the time of the intrusion, then Allison could be obliged to intervene from an organizational point of view, in order to protect the corporation’s assets; and by extension Brad’s. In other instances, asset protection and risk reduction usually extends to key people such as the corporation’s executives or system analysts and their property, since they are usually considered as important assets of the organization.
Even if parked in the company’s parking lot, the organization’s liability is quite in question. An organization usually takes measures to protect its staff, especially if there is a risk of danger, or an existential threat therein (Abomhara & Koien, 2015). This is done thr
