In the poem, “Beautiful Black Men”, by Nikki Giovanni, is used to set an atmosphere of not perceiving the black people as bad. She evaluates both the good and bad people. She creates an idea that the natural black Afro-Americans indicated signs of beauty regardless of the tasks they were performing. Nikki says the Blackman were beautiful when they were doing good. The author of the poem states “preaching in churches, driving their hogs, walking their dogs, winking at me” in terms of presentation, Nikki also shows blackness to be cool. The idea of this poetry is based on the concept of being black which is beautiful, and therefore people should not hide their ancestry and bodily characteristics.
The “Black Dada Nihilismus” poetry by Baraka, points out his controversy to the work of jazz band. In his work, he is calling for revolutionaries with the help of helping murder and rape within the liberation service. Some of his passages appears to be notorious for he is frustrated with the deeds. “Rape the white girls, rape their fathers and cut their mother's throat."
“The Idea of Ancestry” is a poem written by Etheridge Knight’s. The subject of the poem, birthplace of the poet, the culture and his connection to his family is represented. The poet is in prison the prison, in which the walls appears to be covered with photographs of the poets' relatives. In number, the photographs are 47. Staring at the pictures, the poets imagine they are alive. Besides, he concludes that the pictures share identity with him "I am all of them, they are all of me" The poem also talks about the twelve relatives the poet has been in love with. In general, the poem talks about the connections that exist between the ancient and the present people.
