Experts relate smoking of tobacco with a third of cancer deaths. It is the potential risks of smoking that has motivated over 100 scientific reviews, debates and publications on the impact of smoking to human life. Research shows that breast cancer may be caused by accumulation of thousands of chemicals contained in tobacco either by active smoking or second hand smoking (Reynolds, 2012, p. 15).Tobacco impacts to the human health in a negative way as it causes different types of cancer such as stomach, pancreases, bladder, kidney, liver, ovary among others. Exposure to tobacco causes breast cancer in women with a higher rate resulting from active smoking. However, expert reviews, animated debates, and active research links to some extend second hand smoking (SSH) as a potential cause of breast cancer (Reynolds, 2012, p. 15).According to Peggy Reynolds, there has been a little advancement in current studies on causes of breast cancer as compared to previous research. This is because the earlier methods failed to establish a relationship between active smokers and breast cancer.
