In the financial services institution, there are several cybersecurity threats. One threat that the firm is facing is the attack on mobile banking applications. The attacks on web-based applications are a huge threat because the applications are easy to access and they depend on user input. The attacks vary from unauthorized redirects to SQL injects, to DDoS. The strategy that the firm should put in place against this threat includes using an intelligent web application firewall together with behavior firewall to prevent cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks CITATION Mis20 \l 1033 (Mishaal Khan, 2020). The firm should constantly audit the database to ensure that vulnerabilities are identified and fixed before they are exploited by attackers. The firm should also ensure that only trustworthy websites are used and viruses and malware are regularly scanned for.
