Tashkent and Bukhara
Tashkent is one of the most overlooked by most travelers of silk broad compared to other cities in Uzbekistan such as Bukhara, Khiva, and Samarkand, this city has found this advantage as firstly it is the capital of Uzbekistan. The town is full of a vast number of Islamic and Soviet architectures, and it stands a home of more than four million individuals which make it the largest city in n Asia. Being one of the wealthiest city and hence have a lot of recreational centers, animal zoos, hotels and a variety of museums which attracts a lot of visitors as compared to other towns in Silk Road. Tashkent has another additional advantage as it stands at the center of the way to Bukhara, Samarkand, and China. Resulting from the fact that the city is located at a strategic position over the years the city has been invaded, sacked and invaded by many civilizations including the Soviet Union (Airey & Shackley, 2010).
Chorus bazaar is one of the biggest markets in the city, and it has a variety of Uzbek agricultural products including fruits and meat. All the locals avail themselves in the market every day and that means a tourist who visits the city the market presents the opportunity to observe the ethnic and the cultural diversity of which the city is famous of. Tashkent is the central part of the nation it has quite some Soviet building with the largest being hotel Uzbekistan which leaves a lot of people amazed about its dimension “Little remains of most ‘ancient’ oriental temples as they were mainly constructed from wood that has to be replaced every few decades. Even monolithic stone structures such as Stonehenge have been ‘restored’ to the degree that few in the heritage industry seem comfortable with admitting to. Tashkent also has a wide variety of soviet structures which attract a lot of travelers including the hazard imam complex, Tashkent TV tower, Tashkent metro, and many more attractive structures. Among the commonly used means of transport is the fastest to move around stations metro. Taxi are also a common mean of transportation as everybody in Tashkent is a taxi driver which makes the movement in the city cheap as compared to the cost of using the train in Bukhara. When examined in a tourist perception Bukhara has a total of eleven landmarks and sights which includes; Kalyan minaret, Khoja-Gaukshon, ;lyabi-Hauz, Nedir diva-begin Madrasah, Chasma- Ayub and ark citadel among others as compared to Tashkent town which has a total of only three famous landmarks and sites ; hast-image, chorus bazaar and Khodija Akhrar mosque. Places to visit in Bukhara are more as compared to those in Tashkent town which has four of them while Bukhara town has five places to visit (Christin, 2013).
In terms of museums Tashkent town outdoes Bukhara as the town has a considerable number of them including, Amir Timur Museum, Art Gallery NBU, Center of Applied Arts, Centre of National Arts, Exhibition Hall, International Caravanserai of Culture, Museum of Applied Art and Museum of Art among others, while Bukhara only has two museums, the Bukhara state museum, and fayzulla Khodjaev museum. Both towns exhibit almost an equal number of sights, but Bukhara tow has more of them. When the two cities are compared according to the vicinity, Bukhara has six while Tashkent has five regions. Moreover, leisure facilities in Bukhara are limited with a total number of the only one which is resultants and cafes. Nonetheless, Tashkent town has more than five leisure facilities including; botanical gardens, coffee houses, swimming pools, animal zoo, bowling alleys, restaurant and cafes and finally the Tashkent theaters (Olimovich, 2015).

As described by 2015 Forbes report Silk Road trip is among the powerful world brand, it has become of the trending discussion over the social media platform. Various destinations are supposed to take a collaborative look towards marketing and promotion through the use of shared messages through a collaborative set of values. Consistency in the marketing messages is crucial to enhance that the brand image of Silk Road prospers improving efficiency in marketing and promotions. Tashkent is the most pleasant town that will respond effectively to the three focus areas of the 2016/2017 action plan (Navruz-Zoda & Navruz-Zoda, 2016). This is because having a wide variety of recreation and museums, for example, will put the town at the first line of attracting more tourists than Bukhara. Tashkent is in a better position to collaborate with other industries such as hotels, animal zoo and swimming pool managers to form a pool of activities which will market the brand name of Silk Road. Tashkent can also have a wide variety of station destination website where tourists can be easily directed from online maps. Having a vast pool of activities and sites than Bukhara Tashkent can be in a position to organize for an international Silk Road festival event (Barisitz & Radzyner, 2017).
Destination management and capacity building
Being the capital of Uzbekistan Tashkent have a wide variety of tourist attraction starting from museums, recreation centers sights, vicinities and many more and hence the town is in a position to effectively respond to type management and capacity building target area through conducting training activities to enable the tour guides to be more effective and with the know-how of the town's variety of attractions. Tashkent also can efficiently respond in offering quality services in the hotels and caves to provide a more hospitable environment for the tourists “Poor heritage management has also placed intangible and tangible heritage under threat. Community based tourism is yet to reach its full potential”. Tashkent can train the tour guides on how to communicate effectively to avoid language barrier and misunderstanding for capacity building which will make the tourist come back to the town. Heritage management can be efficiently responded to through the addition of country heritage materials in the variety of museum the city has. The city can efficiently respond to this focus is a through innovation in service and products delivery, raising the profile of Silk Road tourism by collaborating with the Uzbekistan investment agencies. To create more opportunities, Tashkent should enhance private, public partnership. Tashkent is in a better position to promote community-based transnational tourism initiatives due to the full attraction available in the town (Christin, 2013).
