The Analysis of the Game of Thrones Film
The emerging growth phenomenon in tourism destination is the increasing trend to associate a destination with popular drama television programmes or cinematic control approach. However, these locations rarely give an accurate view when seen in reality. When one visits the actual place, they might feel that the area seems familiar even though they have never visited the place before (Bowyer, 2017). This paper will address how the use of World Heritage Sites (WHS) as filming locations can make an impact on how visitors perceive these sites and their decision to visit them. The paper will also give suggestions on what needs to be done to address the impact of film-induced tourism.
