Why I believe a curfew should be in place
A lot of people believe that it would be unrealistic and unfair to keep juveniles from public places beyond curfew hours just because of the mistakes made by delinquent minors. However, do you think children are like adults who are capable of doing things without guidance and discipline? I believe that it is the responsibility of the law to protect teenagers. The purpose of this work is to show why curfew should be put in place for citizens who are below eighteen years.
The first reason is to provide an element of safety for children and the community as a whole. According to Finkelhor et al. (2017), almost one child goes missing in the nation every forty seconds. Do you know what that figure translates to in one year? A child who is alone in the streets provides easy access to predators that are just waiting for such opportunities. These missing cases create fear and tension not only to the family members but to the whole community. Are you ready to live in fear in your own community because of situations that you can control? If not, then I believe curfew should be imposed to provide an element of security to the community.
