Bullying is evident in health care organizations. Outcomes from bullying affect all the health organization, staff and patients negatively. Quality of health care to consumers decreases day by day when this situation occurs. To put an end to this, standard professional practices are laid down. Managers and leaders must lay down some strategies to make a quiet working environment. Based on their roles, skills, and principles; quality health care and safety of patients improve. Thus forms of bullying changes day by day. Leaders must immediately initiate additional solutions to avoid this problem and enhance professionalism in the nearing future. Leadership and management skills are essential for qualified care professionals. This essay will examine what is bullying, its effect, remedies, roles of managers, and leaders to handle bullying, leadership theories, and new leadership to enhance professionalism is.

Bullying in the nursing workplace is always frequent. Nursing bullying refers to the continuous mistreatment of nurses by one or more committers. Various nurse bullying includes; management bullying nurse, nurse bullying other nurses, nursing bullying patient, patient bullying nurse, and nurse bullying other healthcare providers. This form of bullying depends on various qualities and individuals who bully. It could be to promote themselves, lack of self-control, desire for attention, and self-gratification. Health organization's financial performance and operation are greatly affected when any form of bullying occurs. Bullying in nursing affects the self-esteem of the nurses leading to a low workforce (Saeed 217). Intendance of duties assigned occurs, allowing the quality of healthcare to patients to decline. Teamwork among the management and nurses will be significantly affected. Ultimately, job performance gets impaired by weakening the working ability of nurses (DeMatthews 195). Bullying leads to obstruction of communication among the staff, meaning no sharing of ideas destroying teamwork. Patients, leaders, and nurses lose trust in each other, thus affecting the overflow of clinical practice. Patients are also greatly affected because poor quality health care will dominate at all times. Increment of errors will always occur due to delayed new practices implementation. Reduced health care will always keep the health of the patients at risk at all times because nurses under the bullying environment, will be nervous and most likely underperform because of anxiety. Quitting of talented profession occurs. These lead to organizational turnover, directly affecting patient safety.

The provision in the evaluation of bullying to nurses ensures clinical proficiency and safety. Intimidation of nurses should end by setting up policies that protect them against bullying.
