Bullying is evident in health care organizations. Outcomes from bullying affect all the health organization, staff and patients negatively. Quality of health care to consumers decreases day by day when this situation occurs. To put an end to this, standard professional practices are laid down. Managers and leaders must lay down some strategies to make a quiet working environment. Based on their roles, skills, and principles; quality health care and safety of patients improve. Thus forms of bullying changes day by day. Leaders must immediately initiate additional solutions to avoid this problem and enhance professionalism in the nearing future. Leadership and management skills are essential for qualified care professionals. This essay will examine what is bullying, its effect, remedies, roles of managers, and leaders to handle bullying, leadership theories, and new leadership to enhance professionalism is.
Question 1
Bullying in the nursing workplace is always frequent. Nursing bullying refers to the continuous mistreatment of nurses by one or more committers. Various nurse bullying includes; management bullying nurse, nurse bullying other nurses, nursing bullying patient, patient bullying nurse, and nurse bullying other healthcare providers. This form of bullying depends on various qualities and individuals who bully. It could be to promote themselves, lack of self-control, desire for attention, and self-gratification. Health organization's financial performance and operation are greatly affected when any form of bullying occurs. Bullying in nursing affects the self-esteem of the nurses leading to a low workforce (Saeed 217). Intendance of duties assigned occurs, allowing the quality of healthcare to patients to decline. Teamwork among the management and nurses will be significantly affected. Ultimately, job performance gets impaired by weakening the working ability of nurses (DeMatthews 195). Bullying leads to obstruction of communication among the staff, meaning no sharing of ideas destroying teamwork. Patients, leaders, and nurses lose trust in each other, thus affecting the overflow of clinical practice. Patients are also greatly affected because poor quality health care will dominate at all times. Increment of errors will always occur due to delayed new practices implementation. Reduced health care will always keep the health of the patients at risk at all times because nurses under the bullying environment, will be nervous and most likely underperform because of anxiety. Quitting of talented profession occurs. These lead to organizational turnover, directly affecting patient safety.

Professional standard describes the level of competent care in each phase of the process in healthcare. Its main aim is to maintain a safe, responsible, and direct clinical practice. The provision in the evaluation of bullying to nurses ensures clinical proficiency and safety. Intimidation of nurses should end by setting up policies that protect them against bullying. Leaders should enhance non-aggressive modeling behavior to help in eradicating bullying. New technology should be implemented to a specific committee to point up various bullying in a healthcare organization and solve them; it can be the use of cameras. Healthcare managers should ensure counseling and support to nurses under intimidation. New nurses should be educated to understand what to do when confronted by a bully (Van der Voet 379). It helps in building skills and capacity in areas that both discourage bullying and encourage productive behavior. Culture safety training to all parties will completely eradicate bullying. Thus enhances communicating, responsibility, being self-reflective, and advocacy. The development of the anti-bullying program should be improved to teach the principles of bullying avoidance. Healthcare leaders should play an essential role in preventing and correcting nurse-to-nurse bullying to keep the nursing workforce in play.

Nursing leaders and managers play essential roles in responding to a bullying situation. These are by Setting up of policies that protect nurses against bullying. Polices create a reporting process so that nurses know how to and be in a position to report bullying. They should ensure that all new nurses in each health organization get an education on how to handle bullying. These enhance smooth communication, sharing of ideas, and team building creating quality healthcare. The roles of nursing managers and leaders to stop bullying base on clinical practice theory, purposes, skills, and principles of these leaders (Van der Voet 379). Transformational and participative leadership theory governs leadership in clinical practice. Transformational leadership is a relationship between leaders and followers that motivate each other into higher levels leading to compatibility. Participative leadership is a style in which team members participate in the decision-making process. Nurse Managers ensure patient care and the creation of safe, healthy working environments (Van der Voet 379). Nursing leaders oversee the integration of patient care and managing patients' medical teams. Management of bullying by nurse leaders enhances commitment to excellence, patient satisfaction, and recognition of success. In a bullying free environment, managers can manage the resources of the health organization.
