The analysis herein compares the National Guideline website and the Cochrane Collaboration website in relation to immunizations. Upon my preview of the National Guideline Clearinghouse website, I learned that it provides a wealth of information regarding clinical practice guidelines that were based on practice (, n.d). In comparison, the Cochrane collaboration site is made up of information regarding health that was based on research conducted by health practitioners, patient advocates and researchers (/about-us, n.d). Both sites are accessible to the public, and the information provided therein is free of charge. Finally, I discovered that both sites had information relating to many diseases, including the issue of immunization discussed herein.
There are several ways in which I would use these sites for future practice, and one of these is determining the core immunizations that individuals have to undertake to ensure that they are adequately protected from various ailments. Further, these sites could provide an insight on the effect of different vaccines on different individuals. This would help them in ensuring that they take steps to protect themselves. The National Clearinghouse website would provide information based on cases that practitioners had engaged with, while the Cochrane Collaboration website’s information would be premised on research that had been undertaken by qualified people with regards to health.
