The dimensions of equity and safety plays a critical role in provision of healthcare services. In essence, the patients’ needs to be assured that they will not be killed by the care meant to help them. The patients are not interested in high quality care that can unintentionally kill (Kelly, 2007). Assuring that care and services delivered is safe is the main concern of patients. Therefore, careful assessment of the processes and system of care is required to identify areas of weakness. The evaluation aids in modifying the factors that cause the breakdown of the system.
Additionally, the healthcare system needs to be effective and reliable, which means that the patients receive the services that helps them.
