Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo
There has been an outbreak of Ebola in the Democratic Republic of Congo in the very recent days as reported by the world health organization in less than a week ago. It is reported that the world health organization took a very slow response to Ebola outbreak in the West Africa in the year 2014 in which eleven thousand people lost their lives. The main reason as to why people died to Ebola disease is because they underestimated the effects of the disease giving it an appropriate time to advance its harm. To avoid regrets of its outbreak, Ebola disease effects should not be underestimated.
I agree with the article that Ebola disease spreads as fast as seen in the case of northeastern part of the Democratic Republic of Congo where there is a very poor access to health care facilities. Remote areas in the Democratic Republic of Congo have very poor hospital equipment to use in fighting the Ebola outbreak. This state of equipment poverty jeopardizes the health of citizens. Having been hit by the same outbreak in the year 2014, the country must have learned a lesson from such an attack and prepared enough equipment in various hospitals for vaccination and treatment where applicable in which the recent death rate is lower than that of the year 2014.
