Reforming the health care system is typically based on implementing policies that affect the health care through the government for the people. Health care affects a big population of people in a particular setting and therefore a good approach on the most important aspects is essential (Chapman, 1994). Health care reform tries to give a broad approach to a population that needs health care through both private and public sector insurance cover. Giving more care to citizens, decreasing health care cost, health care quality improvement among other basic reasons. Basically, there is never a healthcare that is good in all these things but achieving a number of them gives a good picture. This essay is mainly concentrating on health care delivery to the people.
Health care delivery is a broad aspect in the provision of health services in any community. It basically approaches Medicare with a broader view of all things that relate to giving the best health care delivery to the people. This includes good hospitals equipped with modern equipment's and facilities, well trained staff, system of health education requirements and availability of funds through correct budgeting. With all these aspects in place, the community will receive the highest degree of health care provision needed anywhere. This reform will ensure that everyone in the community gets access to the best health care with discrimination on age, social status, insurance cover or discrimination of any type.
The chosen reform method addresses very many things that currently affect everyone in the community. It looks at the root problems that might be costing the economy a lot of money due to bad policy making. Prioritizing the basic things in health care provision will reduce the mortality rates caused by the poor service provision, ill-educated personnel, poor facilities and luck of enough funds allocation. However, this reform method fails to address the issue of discrimination on certain diseases and procedural insurance cover which should be evaluated with time.
Lifetime limits are basically the duration of time that a certain health care policy takes within a period of time and its practicality. In the new health care plan which is aimed at providing the best health care delivery, lifetime limit will obviously be affected some of its policies. Simply because this care plan focuses on the broad approach to some of the basic health care requirements a lot need to be changed. Things such as insurance cover policies will have to be reviewed for the good of every person in the community. Insurance cover on aging and elderly people will have to be reviewed so as to extend the time period. This is because most elderly related diseases are likely to come at a certain age which insurance covers try to escape. The lifetime limit of these insurance policies will have to be extended for the sake of the old people in the community.
Once the health care delivery policy is enacted insurance companies will have to comply with a number of things. One of them is to extend their age limit cover on old people. This will be done so as to cater for all people in the community regardless of their age. Many insurance companies try to escape the high cost of treatment for the elderly related diseases. All health insurance policies will have to comply with this for them to be operational in the health sector. Coverage of chronic diseases such as cancer and heart
