For every nation to exist and strive for unity and harmony, laws and regulations must govern the society. Such rules are documented in the country's constitution to manage and safeguard how the community members interact with each other. Some human rights laws are considered universal because they are recognized and implemented in different countries. Some of the universal human rights include freedom of life, speech, protection, and religion (Franck, 2001). The paper aims to compare and contrast the rights found in The Amendments to the constitution (1787), France's Declarations of Man and Citizen (1789), and the United Nations the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (1948). It will also make a case for the three rights found in all three documents that I consider most significant to society. The three documents are unique, but all seek to define universal human rights in the context of government.
Despite being implemented by different countries, The Amendments to the Constitution (1787), France's Declarations of Man and Citizen (1789), and the United Nation's The Universal Declaration of Human Rights (1948) share many similarities.
