The Gilded Age brought about the American Dream. It is the age that America grew rapidly and become one of the biggest countries up to date. The reason for saying this is because of the clear evidence of urbanization. During the gilded era people moved to a central place and this in turns led to growth of small towns. As people continued to move in specific locations due to the high employment rate, other people saw an opportunity of building houses to occupy the people moving in the city. The gilded era was an era where beautiful building started to pop up. It was during this era that transportation in United States increased due to growth of markets in clustered places. The urbanization effect hugely contributed to construction of the railway line that connected NYS, Chicago and Boston. The urbanization effect led to the creation of the Brooklyn Bridge that connected the lower Manhattan to Brooklyn. There was an increased job opportunity in the city due to companies coming up.
Apart from urbanization, there was labour and industrialization growth. The immigration of people into the clustered cities of United States meant an increase in the labour force. The increased number of labour force meant that industries could afford cheap labour. Therefore, it encouraged growth of industries due to availability of cheap labour. The growth of more industries meant that job opportunities were growing as well. The increased job opportunities attracted many immigrants into America meaning increased labour force. This cycled continued as United States economy continued to grow. This all happened during the Gilded Age. America dream was to grow in the industrialization field and it was during the gilded era that it managed to do so.
