Race can be defined as the distinction expressed by the variation in the human morphological structure as well as physical characteristics. It is based on different aspects and features which characterize people of different races. This involves elements like skin color together with other biological traits. However, the cultural understanding denotes that the race involves diversity in social practices as well as cultural beliefs that people in different societies have. This can be based on evaluation by various scholars like Charles Darwin (Hutchison, 2003).

A stereotype is a belief focused upon a given group of people and do not apply exclusively to all its members. Prejudice is a feeling that an individual develops on another person due to his or her connection with a certain group of people. The two are forms of discrimination because they portray a treatment which aims at creating distinction in favor or against the group or the individual (Beneke, 2006).
