Introduction
Terrorism is defined as the violent conflicts which are directed towards the opponents. Terrorism can be due to opposing political forces, religious beliefs or the clan differences resulting in the severe social disorder in the society. America has been prone to terrorism activities since the revolution ear. The motives behind each terrorism activities changes from time to time. The terrorist activities are also becoming sophisticated from time to time, thus making them to be fully tamed by the security agencies. The sophistication of their actions has led to the formation of the various security organs within the United States government meant to combat terrorist activities inside and outside the country. These security organs include, the Homeland security, CIA, FBI and the Intelligence service. These organs coordinate and share information on imminent threat the country is facing from within or outside its borders. In this essay, the history of terrorism in the United States will be discussed, as well as all the critical terrorism tragedies since the Revolution era.
