Running head: THE WHISKEY REBELLION
Abstract
The Whiskey Rebellion will remain forever in the minds of most Americans, mainly because of its contribution to the multiparty politics of US. The ideas that are used to defend inequality in American culture are many and diversified. The Class wars have been there but they have always been well tackled.
These ideas are used to make the American culture what it is at the moment; as such they are not that simple .The early riots and protests of those days made US to be what it is today.
Introduction
From time immemorial people have always found ways to express their dissatisfaction to support certain decisions. The most popular way of expressing their contempt especially against the government was through protests and riots. The Whiskey Rebellion is among the first rebellions to occur America .It was the protest that occurred in 1791 to 1794, during the presidency of George Washington. It was started by wheat and corn farmers. Main reason being they were against the introduction of excise tax. This rebellion was crucial in building h emergencies of parties in US .All the same its all due to culture. Culture refers to the way of life of people. In America there are many cultures that are diversified and varied yet they all make the American society, however inequality is a major reality that has to be overcome. All sorts of ideas are used to defend inequality in most cultures (Harden, 2012).
In American culture progressive ideas protect inequality; this is why the war itself is yet to be won. This is true in any society. It is not easy to win against inequality as it can be thought out just that easily (Harden, 2006). Billionaires may be only a minority but no basic wars can wipe them out just that way. The ideas of fighting inequality in American culture defend them too. This is where the rebellion in those days was also inescapable (Harden, 2012).
Leadership is dynamic, whichever the kind of leadership it is. President George Washington provided the right guide to steer the nation forward, but leadership is what it is. Leadership is being looked in depth as dynamic as it is. Most of the aspects of the changing leadership styles are also analysed here as the new language of leadership which is taking root in the current civilization is properly focused in all its major entities. Advice is also given on what to exactly do with this new language of leadership .Whatever the leadership opposition was introduced in America, and the farmers emerged the heroes (Crowther, 2010).
Over the years, the ideas of how to lead have been undergoing drastic changes as well as the language of leadership itself. The various styles of leadership have in these modern times acquired a new leadership language which has resulted into the present success in most organizations. This has made the new language of leadership possible (Denning, 2007).
Since funds and donations are involved in CSR, then Care must always be there when managing the philanthropy or even for those using the business approach to do so .Any management worth its salt must know how to be transparent, as well as accountable. Most organizations or governments that enjoy philanthropy are known to swindle some of the donations. This is very unfortunate for them .It is in fact shameful (Crowther, 2010).
Some management and leaders, also tend to try to bribe their way out of their evils. Auditors must be warned from taking bribes. Accountability in any enterprise is something that must be there. Respect of the donations or money meant to operate a business must be there .If our society is to be really disciplined, then auditors must not be bribed(Parluszek,2005).
Otherwise CSR is a very useful area that has ensured that many people benefit a lot. It is an area that must be encouraged by all means. We all stand to benefit if ewe uphold CSR. It must also be rightly put that CSR is the real saviour of mankind from his poverty life. If it will be properly used then a lot will be achieved, but if wrongly used then man will continue to suffer for a very long time to come. Unless man comes out of his evil ways, and stop misused funds, then the common citizen will always be in danger ( Crowther, 2010).
Some organizations and governments, tend not to like the philanthropy-based approach to CSR, since it is believed not to help in building on the skills of the local populations, whereas this community –based development is known to generally lead to more sustainable development. Another approach is normally to involve the CSR strategy into business strategy of an organization. This is just one of the approaches that are normally opted for (Paluszek, 2005).
Another approach, which is more democratic, is normally in garnering corporate responsibility interest .This is what is called Creating Shared Value or CSV. In this option, the shared model is based on the idea that corporate success and social welfare are all said to be interdependent. Any business needs a healthy workforce, educated, adept government and sustainable resources in order to compete effectively. Healthy workforce ensures efficiency. Educated business gives room for performance .Adept government ensures efficient operation. Sustainable resources take the enterprise to higher growths. So, whichever way whether others opt for sills to philanthropy, the fact remains the need to sustain the society goes on. The major issue with philanthropy is the swiftness to misuse funds. This is what discourages the venture. Otherwise philanthropy itself is one of the best things that man can do to himself. It encourages contribution and generosity .It therefore uplifts our values. George Washington must have dealt with these leadership principles a lot, to make the political America to be where it s (Crowther, 2010).
For any society to thrive, profitable as well as competitive businesses must try to develop and support in order to create income, tax revenues, wealth as well as opportunities for phlantheropy.CSV has revived global attention a number of times. So many people intend to take it as the best option, in tying to adopt for CSR. Our enterprises must be positive, with an aim of making more money to help the society. Those who are responsible of poor management of these ventures must be brought to book.CSR is the best option, since it benefits everyone willingly. The other option of using sills is surrounded by a lot of rivals and competition. We must be also ready to learn from our mistakes. The many evils we commit as a population to ourselves will one day haunt us. We must be responsible at all times. Responsibility of our actions will take us at a better place. The protests and riots of the farmers contributed to the modern democratic principles of US (Crowther, 2010).
If in case auditor called Arthur Anderson comes around to audit the donations given out due to CSR. The auditor can easily be bribed in case the management ,or leadership has done some mistakes with the donations, as well as the funds. When in fact it is supposed to be that, any business is to take responsibility for its actions, it must be fully accountable. So if the social accounting, to be done by Arthur Anderson is corrupted through bribing then it is very unfortunat...
