The study of Computer science mainly focuses on both the hardware and software architecture attributed to computers. Emphasis is on the construction of computer hardware and software, providing an insight into the purpose of each of the major computing systems.
Practically, the knowledge, skills, and theories learned from this course can be applied in the work environment. For instance, the electronic innovation concept quickly comes to play as we are involved in computer technology innovations that bring change to how and where we access data from. (Leible et al., 2019). The Perspectives on Global Technology is in application seeing that the world is moving to low storage computers as cloud systems have eliminated the need for large hard disks opting for real-time accessible data. Project planning was offered a subject to teach us the benefits of developing plans before embarking on software development projects. In work environment, I can then clearly come up with an ideal project plan in software development, to increase the chances of the project succeeding.
In my career, cloud databases is an applicable concept as taught in my coursework (Bashir, 2017). Cloud storage is charting a path into the future as it stores data on the Internet through a cloud computing systems firm managing and operating data storage as a service. Clients of these cloud vending firms eliminate the need of buying and managing their own data storage infrastructure (Leible et al., 2019). I see the application of this in the reduction of storage size with laptops produced today shifting to SSD (solid-state) from ancient HDD (Hard disk drive). My course makes me conversant with this in my workplace. SSDs are becoming a popular choice because of their speed. These faster speeds have led to performance benefits in the workplace environment.
I am applying principles I learned from the theory of entrepreneurship.as such, on a part-time basis, I develop software for clients and charge a fee for my services. At my workplace, it is my responsibility to manage the company’s systems and processes. I set up architectures for data storage. In theory, Global Technology breeds Changes and Implications (Leible et al., 2019).
Doing this, I feel a connection between my work environment and the role we play in putting this theory into action.
