21st century has seen individuals and organizations become more sensitive and active toward environmental preservation. Many disciplines have developed green ways of propagating their activities, and cloud computing is not an exemption. By definition, cloud computing is a method of computing, whereby, remote servers are networked, in order to form a centralized data storage, which can be accessed through an online platform (Furht & Escalante, 2010). Cloud computing provides services in four fundamental models, that is, Paas (Platform as a service), Iaas (Infrastructure as a service), Saas (Software as a service), and unified communication as a service (Berl et al, 2014). Despite growing criticism of this method of computing due to its social implications, it has realigned itself with the global quest for safe and clean environment.
