Theories have been employed to explain criminal behavior and the mental health. The theories have been employed in explaining and shedding light to the organized criminal activities. The understanding has been employed in devising methods for curbing the crimes as well as designing rehabilitative designs for the offenders. The writer will explore group criminal behavior by two types of organized criminals. The two groups will include a group formed by one race and another criminal gang formed by people from different races. The writer will use behavior theories to describe the criminal activities and operations of the two groups. The author will describe the activities of the of the two criminal groups and utilize the key points of the selected theory to explain the character of the gangs. The paper will evaluate the ethnicity of the criminal gangs and the influence of the ethnicity makeup of the group to their participation in the specific criminal activities.
Description of the two Criminal Gangs
The ISIS are a terrorist group comprising of many races and significantly attributed to the Arabs ethnicity. The militants are anti-democracy and detest the political, social, and economical agendas advocated by the US. They claim to advocate for the type of Governance described by the Quran and the Islamic law. The group has attacked Government nations in the Middle East in the attempt to install the proposed type of leadership (Brooke, 2016). The Mexican drug Syndicates are an organized criminals that sell, use, and distribute illegal hard drugs across the globe and significantly in the United States. The group is made of the Mexicans (Martinez, 2013).
Organized Crime Behavior Theories that best describes the Criminal Behavior of the two Groups
Two organized crime behavior theories can be employed to describe the activities and the operations of the two criminal groups. The two theories are illegal enterprise theory for the Mexican drug dealers and the bureaucracy theory for the ISIS militants (Kleemans, 2013).
Discussion of the key points of the Theories and their Application in describing the criminal Behavior of the gangs
The illegal enterprise theory indicates that a criminal gang may be formed by an orchestrated design by a master plan that provides network and structures that provide the guidelines and working mechanism for the group. The master plan for the group is created towards involvement of illegal businesses for the benefit of the perpetrators (Kleemans, 2013, p. 128). The theory explains the operations of the Mexican drug dealers. On the other hand, bureaucracy theory explains that a criminal gang may be formed to resist against prevailing Governance or rules or in the aim of installing perceived bureaucracy in the region. The theory explains the formation of the ISIS against democracy and with the aim of installing Islamic Governance and law (Kleemans, 2013, p. 129).
