Since it is practically impossible to create, transport, or use energy without having a substantial environmental impact, energy and environmental concerns are intimately intertwined. Air pollution, climate change, water pollution, thermal pollution, and solid waste disposal are some of the environmental issues directly linked to the production and consumption of energy. Fuels including coal, oil, natural gas, uranium, and biomass are among the main energy sources in the environment. Except for biomass, none of the primary fuels are renewable. Renewable energy sources including sunshine, wind, moving water, and geothermal energy are also considered primary sources.

One of the biggest health and environmental issues on the planet is air pollution.
