We live in a society whereby people measure a variety of talents, abilities and potentials that exists. At the expense, we tend to overlook the significant role that inspiration plays in enabling our potential. In essence, inspiration allows us to see new opportunities that are beyond our ordinary lives, as well as constraints. Occasionally, we oversee inspiration as essential because of its indefinable nature. But as several recent pieces of research have shown, inspiration can be activated and manipulated, and has a principle effect on vital life outcomes.
According to Catmull and Wallace (2014), there are three significant aspects of inspiration such as evocation, transcendence, as well as approach motivation. First, inspiration is induced impulsively without any intent. In most times, people get inspired by role models, teachers, or motivational speakers. It gives us a reason we ought to create conducive environments for inspiration (Catmull & Wallace, 2014). Secondly, inspiration is a transcendence of our self-serving concerns and limitations. Further, inspiration is rarely taken into consideration as a variable that involve the enhancement of resources. Most people possess high levels of significant psychological resources such as self-belief in their abilities and optimism as the consequences of inspiration (Owens & May, 2012). Therefore, inspiration is not only purely passive but also favors the prepared mind.
In comparison to other ordinary experiences of life, inspiration brings a high level of positive effect. However, this cannot be the same as the state of positive impact. Most notable are greater levels of spirituality and meaning in people, and low levels of self-responsibility for inspiration (Woods, 2012). Inspiration is the awakening to something new and more important. On the other hand, the positive effect is manipulated when making progress towards the immediate, as well as the conscious goals. According to Woods (2012), inspired persons view themselves as being creative. Importantly, t...
