Matrimony describes an officially organized union between two people who have agreed to live together as a husband and a wife. The idea of marriage in many cases changes significantly based on the perception of many who get involved as well as their cultures. It therefore implies that married has different definitions accompanied by the core reasons for its organization in a particular community or country. Different people perceive the idea of marriage differently based on the cultural backgrounds and religion. In many cases matrimony ceremonies get organized in the customs of suitable religious beliefs that suits both partners involved in the union. Married is a broad concept since it is based on different opinions of people as well as experience. In standard cases, people have varying preferences to marriage related activities, and hence many couples make successful unions based on their acknowledgment of everyday things well accepted by partners involved.
On the other hand there are steps that lead to the actual union in marriage and therefore the idea of commitment to one another comes forth after adequate preparation of both partners. Matrimony turns out necessary to the development of communities and societies as well as nations. Family in many cases is made up of two people who have made up to live together (Rodrigues, 2014). Therefore the basic foundation of family is matrimony whereby married couple lives together and form families. At the primary level families usually, consist of key partners who have united in marriage and had the potential to raise a family. The customs of marriage and families usually consist of mature partners who not only have the ability to sustain their families but also relate properly with each other in order to build better families.
In marriage and families there are specific aspects that are put into place in a union between couples to aid in the continuity and development of the couple’s lifestyles and relation. The concept of feeding a relationship is important as is the commitment of marriage since a relationship between two people turns out to be the bonding aspect of a marriage union. Feeding relationship on the other hand requires dedication and persistence in order to keep the pace of a matrimonial union. Marriage in relation to interview is important in the development of character and relationship of couples in question. Interviews conducted on couples often reveal commitment and strong relations that exist between couples. The paper deals with couple interviews with a particular focus on the Chinese couple immigrants who have committed to each other on matrimonial terms.
Alternatively expect Alice has been implemented in the research strategies put into place. Alice is an international immigrant specialist from China who interviews and advises Chinese couples on the matters related to marriage and healthy living. I started my interview research by interviewing Alice to gain appropriate knowledge of the type of strategies to put into place when interviewing Chinese couples. Alice revealed that marriage based on the Chinese culture largely is based on religion, she further outline that her being a specialist in immigrant interviews, the methods put forward in the processes of interviewing couple change significantly (Spradley, 2016). Change in tactics of interview change majorly because of the change in environment in which the Chinese couples reside. The aspect of environment hereby gets into place to outline that the Chinese couple no longer reside in China but in a different country.
Hence the appropriate styles of an interview that would be put into place would involve knowledge in the normal matrimonial lifestyle, away from costumed ways of living in married couples. One of the suitable strategies recommended by Alice the international immigration handler is the aspect of administering marriage related question on how couples live their daily lives together. For a start, a suitable and cooperative couple was needed to make the interview research success, Alice proposed Chan Lao and Chin Lao, who turned out to be Chinese married couple had been married for over eight years. Having prepared the suitable strategies of interview administration, I was ready to begin my interview with the chosen couple that had been proposed by Alice earlier on. To begin I made an interview request to the couple in readiness for the interview and no sooner had they approved my request than visited to begin my research interview on married and families.
For a start, I asked the fundamental questions about the development of a relationship. The couple revealed that initially, they had met in China in a matrimonial ceremony where both partners were the best man and maid of the partners of that were married. From that point Chan and Chin started the usual protocols of relationships whereby they would go out together with the aim of knowing each other better. From the couples discussion on the steps of relationship it is evident that knowing your partner is important. Generally when in search of marriage partner the primary factor in consideration usually is the sharing in general. The concept of sharing in relationship reflects on the idea of preference to everyday things whereby one partner prefers and likes similar ideas and activities as the other partner (Ryazantsev, et al. 2014). Common preferences turn out to be the first drive to a marriage since partners get to share and implement their likes and preferences with minimal resistance from their partners.
Chan revealed that the aspect of change turns out necessary during the development of relationship phase in the couple development process. He went ahead to elaborate that change is necessary since when in a relationship how one partner treats and refers to another determines a particular course the relationship is destined to take. For instance, before a relationship a partner could be used to a carefree style of living following the vivid fact that there is no specific other to care about. But once in a relationship the carefree attitude gets to change significantly. Chin, on the other hand, explained that good attitude is paramount in a relationship especially in the relationship development phase. On simple definitions, attitude refers to the way someone feels and thinks about something. The idea of attitude n the context of relationship building refers to the way marriage partners in a relationship think about each other.
Similarly, attitude reflects on the way partners in a relationship relate to each other. Mrs. Lao explained in a relationship attitude is vital since it determines the channel onto which a relationship runs. Chin points that the way a partner thinks and feels about one another is important in promoting the bonding factor in the relationship which is love. Love reflects a lot of feelings and mutual attraction, and hence Mrs. Lao pointed that in a relationship building phase physical attraction of another is as vital as the intimate feeling towards the partner. In a relationship building phase, the appearance and looks on the terms of beauty is not typically relevant, as per the perspective of Chin the wife to Chan, but the couple focused on presentation. The aspect of presentation refers to the looks of clean and much more attractive suitable to be seen in public (Jackl, 2016). A partner should be presentable especially in the relationship development phase. The next step after the relationship stage is the matrimony.
Marriage comes following a firm decision put into place by partners who were in the dating level; and have made up piling the actual process of wedding preparation, as well as the wedding itself in many cases, turns out hectic to many couples as revealed by the Lao family. However, the wedding part of a relationship turns out to be one of the most important moments of partners’ lives. Hence holding precious memories from the actual event is paramount to many partners of a matrimonial relationship. In the Interview on the marriage level of relationship, Mrs. Chin encouraged great dating partners to make the bold step ahead into marriage since the dating step of relationship is vital for verification of the right partner and therefore as soon as that is proven marriage is imminent. In the discussion about marriage, Mrs. Lao took the forefront to explain that the preparations of a wedding are important since it is a one-time event in the lives of partners.
The couple highlighted that they were officially married having been approved by their parents from either sides of the partners. Chan on the other hand discussed that before marriage there were some critical concepts that were to be taken into account in order to realize the full potential of couples in their future lives after their marriage. Evidently enough from the perspective of Chan, the intended marriage couple are to recognize the families of their partners and if possible get a time out to spend time with them so as to familiarize with them and assimilate them in their daily activities. Chin on the other hand supported her husband’s opinion by citing that they had to leave their normal routines of work in order to spend time with their in-laws (Williamson, et al. 2016). The couple points that the time they spent to know their families was important since they got to know at full depths of their relations with the families as well as the full potential of the relationship.
The couple focuses on getting to know partners more having been cited by Chan that a marriage relationship is a lifetime commitment that required the right partners to fulfill the needs of the family. Chan and Chin revealed that their marriage was an expense based on their financial situation during the time but they liked every moment of it since ...
