Introduction
There are various forms of accidents that occur in the surrounding environment. Most of them, however, occur in the transport sector. According to Oakley, (2012) Heinrich's Domino theory can be used to explain the occurrence of the accident through comparison of events that lead to it. The five types of action that comprise an accident sequence include Fault or person, unsafe condition, dangerous act, ancestry and social environment and injury. The occurrence of an accident consumes a lot of money from the parties involved and hence that calls for proper strategies to curb spending money on future accidents.
Ways to avoid spending money on future accidents
The right measures are already in place to curb the occurrence of accidents. First all those operating whether in the transport sector or other areas that involves risk have been compelled to comply with safety laws before being licensed by the federal government. For instance, those in the transport sector have been obliged to comply with speed and proper loading regulations (Oakley, 2012). Currently all stakeholders in transport sectors have met the requirements and the number of accident cases is declining implying that in the near future there will be minimal or fewer accidents related to industrial operations or even in the transport sector and hence little or no money will be used for future accidents.
Timely servicing of operating equipment is an efficient way of preventing accidents. When transport vessels such as vehicles, aircrafts, and rail trucks are serviced well on time the cases of accidents would be minimized or eliminated entirely (Oakley, 2012). Statistics indicate that key players are adhering to this measure and soon the level of accidents occurring due to late servicing will be unheard of implying that soon very insignificant amount of money will be spent on accidents related to delayed maintenance of transport vessels and industrial equipment.
