The world’s ocean covers about 70% of the Earth’s surface and its changes influence the patterns of the Earth’s climate and its weather (Hoegh-Guldberg & Poloczanska, 2018). Over time, the world’s ocean has fundamentally altered climate patterns while it continues to shape the weather in the world today. As the world continues to struggle in finding solutions to greenhouse effects and pollutions, the changes in the world’s Ocean could be articulated through ocean heat, ocean surface temperature, and the Sea levels. Thus, the ocean changes in the modern day have serious climate and weather impacts that are not only of concern in the local but also on a global scale as it adversely affects the world’s transport and agricultural sectors.
First, the world’s Ocean continues to be warmer year-to-year as the greenhouse gas concentrations continue to rise steadily that has influenced events such as volcanic eruptions and global climate patterns (Carballo & Bell, 2017). According to Noone, Sumaila, & Diaz (2013), warmer oceans cause the Coral reed ecosystems effects that support its Ocean’s biodiversity that is an essential source of food for humans globally. In the last four decades, such ocean continues to adversely influence marine species to migrate in search of better spawning and feeding conditions.
