Managing By Gender: Do Males Manage Differently Than Females
In the 20th century, more scientists agreed that women are tiny men in terms of neurological and every other aspect, except their reproductive systems. The assumption, however, has brought in several enduring arguments in terms of leadership competence of either gender. For instance, female leaders are interactive, participative, and collaborate connectively with others. Female leaders want to keep interactions vital and extended until they have worked through their emotional content. On the other hand, male leaders are transactional, hierarchal, and collaborate with others competitively. They unconsciously think they are in a given relationship to offer something and get another in return. Once their interactions are over, they tend to focus away from it and go back to their assumed solitary task. Men and women manage their roles differently. In the technology industry, the disparity in the management competency between men and women is quite evident by the small numbers of women seen working under the managerial level.
