Cities are in decline because they are being destroyed, frequently owing to a lack of investment and maintenance. It is frequently associated with population loss, decreased economic production, and joblessness. Some of the reasons that led to the decline of urban traditional inner-city areas are; Ethnic Inclusion and Racism People in certain countries have previously faced racial discrimination (Ulubaş Hamurcu, 2017). In the United States, African Americans are more likely to withdraw from labor and loans, thereby boosting their community's economy and health. Discrimination can lead to increased unemployment, poverty, street gangs, drug trafficking, and other criminal activities. While there is no radicalism in Britain, there is the possibility of apartheid and poor integration, particularly when immigrant groups are poor and congregate in slums. This expansion suffocates and characterizes these areas.
There was a lack of urban planning in the past. Small roads, for example, produce traffic bottlenecks because they allow people to move and reverse. This happened in London's Docklands, where access was restricted at first for safety concerns and then for investment reasons due to weak connectivity. Another explanation for the larger contraction inside cities is that the concentration of low-income populations in one area of the city can result in a reduction in poverty throughout the city (Shach-Pinsly, 2021).
