Introduction
RST Carports was founded in 1980 as a private company in the Midwest. In order for the business to remain successful, it has hired more than 600,000 square feet floor space to act as its office. Located in Indiana, the company started as carports manufacturing firm, but over the years, it has diversified. Currently, the company also manufactured various types of metal roofing products. Since its inception, the company has remained profitable. It has never made any losses in the period between 1980 and 2017. Nevertheless, the company fell into challenges that saw it start to make losses. Anderson, the company’s management system was adjusted again after its acquisition by Art Anderson. This adjustment led to the elimination of half of the company’s executive management functions, and further reductions in the number of low level managers and workers. Most of the problems experienced by RST were due to the fact that the restricting of the company’s leadership made it difficult for the remaining employees to carry out functions in the appropriate way.
