Analysis of topological concepts in today's mathematics
In topology, often known as “rubber sheet geometry,” two objects are said to be comparable if they can continually deform into one another by spatial movements including bending, twisting, stretching, and shrinking yet without being ripped apart or united in parts. The main topics of topological inquiry are the features that are unaffected by such persistent deformations (Munkres 11-12). Even while topology and geometry have a connection, they are different from one another in that topologically comparable items resemble one another more qualitatively than geometrically equivalent objects do. This is due to the frequent sharing of numerically measurable quantities, such as lengths or angles, amongst geometrically
