Does Global Warming exist?
Global warming is the slow increment of the general earth's atmospheric temperature. It has led to the greenhouse effect resulting from increased chlorofluorocarbons, carbon dioxide levels. In regards to the Environmental Protection Bureau of America, a change in climate is evidenced through the prevailing temperature variations, the extension of heavy winds and precipitation (Collin, 2006). The temperature variations results from human activities such as deforestation, urbanization and burning of fossil fuels. All these factors point out that global warming is real.
Studies have shown that, the greenhouse effects in responsible of increasing the earth’s temperature since it traps the heat in the atmosphere. It raises the earth's temperature than it could have been if the sun were the only source of warming. Once the sunlight hits the earth, the greenhouse gases absorb some of these rays and redirect it towards the earth’s surface. This process increases the temperatures at the earth’s surface.
If the sun was singly warming the earth, the standard temperature on the earth's surface, the average temperature is -2.2° F (-19° C). The variance between the genuine average temperatures is 57.2° F (14° C). The greenhouse effect contributes the variance. The greenhouse effect contributes to 33° C. The main gases causing the greenhouse effect are; Nitrous oxide, Carbon dioxide, Fluorinated gases and Methane (Archer, 2007).
Methane, fluorinated gases, nitrous oxide and carbon dioxide combine in the atmosphere. These gases do not react to both the air pressure and temperature change. These gases are also not affected by the prevailing atmospheric condensation. The water vapor in the atmosphere is extremely active responding to the rapid environmental conditions through condensation into snow or rain. It also results in evaporation that later return into the atmosphere.
Global warming results from the greenhouse effect, it...
