Personality
Personality is explained as the combination of feelings, behaviours, and thought patterns that contribute to the uniqueness of an individual. Every person has a variety of unique traits which explain how he behaves. Personality is believed to arise from individuals within and remains constant throughout the individual's life. Personality is important when predicting the behaviour of an individual when confronted with a particular challenge. Personality dictates that an individual will show a constant reaction over time when faced with a specific problem. This paper will endeavour to explain how different personalities affect the behaviour of an individual. To come to a profound conclusion, the paper will describe the other characteristics of personality to help clarify what a personality is. It will also answer the distinct factors that influence personalities. Though personalities are believed to be inborn, some factors influence the change of personality-induced behaviour with time. The best part of the paper will explain the diverse types of personalities and how these personalities control how an individual executes various tasks.
This paper will explain the different personality disorders and their effects on the affected person's behavioural changes. Current psychological research has shown that most behaviours are out of an individual's personality. Understanding individuals' personalities are crucial for creating meaningful social interactions between individuals as you can predict the other person's behaviour (Carlson et al.). This knowledge is widely used in workplaces to ensure that workers understand each other hence interact well without creating fights amongst themselves.
Characteristics of Personality
These characteristics are the several aspects that make a personality. According to Hopwood and Back (2018), these aspects are fundamental when explaining is a particular trait qualifies to be grouped as a personality. The first characteristic is consistency. Parents should consistently see them in their lives for a combination of features to qualify to be called a personality. Consistency requires that the traits generally have an order of occurrence that is recognizable. This aspect is easily identified when an individual acts in the same manner when in similar situations.
As much as personality is a psychological aspect, it is physiological; this means that biological processes influence personality. For character traits to qualify to be a personality, they should also be influenced by an individual’s biological makeup. Personality also affects our behaviours and actions. This characteristic of personality forms the backbone of my research paper. It demands that for an individual’s traits to for his personality, they must actively participate in their actions. Hopwood and Back (2018) add that as much as personality will influence the individual's response to the environment, it also needs to control their actions. Lastly, personalities need to be expressed in multiple expressions. It simply means that scientists should describe personality in more than just behaviour. They should also see in thoughts, close relationships, feelings, and any other social interactions that the individuals take part in.
Factors that influence personality
Personality is believed to be born inside an individual. However, as much as this is true, some other environmental factors influence nature. Sorić, Penezić, and Burić (2017) put that the first factor is the hereditary factor that tackles biology's place in controlling one's personality. Some personalities are genetic hence are passed from one family generation to the other. These personalities may include logical power, reason, and individual (Hopwood and
