There are ten categories in the assessment tool to determine the risk such as S: Male sex, A: older age, D: Depression: previous attempt: Ethanol abuse, R: Rational thinking loss, S: Social supports lacking: Organized plan, N: No spouse, S: Sickness. There is assigning of individuals under evaluation at one point for every applicable characteristic. Therefore, the total point score for the individual correlates with the action that helps health workers to determine whether hospital admission is necessary. For instance, if a patient scores 3-to-4 –point ranges, that is necessary for psychiatric and mental health professional operations of the entire mental status interview and examination.
