According to Marx, analysis of class structures, changes experienced as a result of the formation of such structures, and social class are significant factors used to understand social systems, mode of production, and capitalism present in the social environment. Marx's theory perceives that there are key figures in society responsible for defining and structuring the social classes. For instance, individuals who own property and are influential in production are vital in determining and structuring the social classes. Besides, social relationships reflected in labor and workplaces are also a fundamental factor used in the determination of classes present in the social environment. Still, individuals who have control and tend to produce social labor on humans are important figures who can determine the structure of society. Marx argued that the concept of socialism is primarily based on the interests that are reflected by individuals who are in the working class. However, the social concept deliberated by Marx is contrary to the grounds of normative principles and social justice that are used to defend the socialism concept.
Progressively, Marx deliberates that definition of classes is not achieved through analyzing and observing a particular individual. He argues that it is practical to view and evaluate society in a group approach. Therefore, classes are perceived to be accurate to discuss the proletariat and bourgeoisie and not individuals' workers or capitalists. Increasingly, from Marx's perception of society, the aspect of unity and competition is essential in characterizing social class. For example, social scenarios whereby peasantry groups pose opposition to other classes is a primary instance that justifies how unity and competition can describe society. From the reflection of this example, it is precisely clear that people of similar social class show unity in fighting competitor classes present in the social environment.
