Matt Walker, Ted’s speaker on the topic sleep is a superpower is an expert on the topic of sleep. Most of his researches are based on sleep and how it affects the body. His speech narrows down to the effect of poor sleeping patterns on the general health, brain and body of an individual.

The speaker’s connection between sleep and health also posed a solid argument. Based on his speech, sleep affects the ageing rate of a person. In his defense, the quality of sleep tends to depreciate as one age. Theoretically, it appears normal for children to have a deep sleep compared to the aged because of the responsibilities resting upon the shoulders of adults. Still, the quality of sleep is naturally dependent on the quality of healthcare enjoyed by varying age groups. Naturally, fully grown children in their active life are more likely to have strong immune systems compared to the old (Walker, 2017).
