When you hear the word hypnosis, what comes to mind? For most people due to media influence, when the word hypnosis is mentioned, the mind skips to a controlled environment with a hypnotherapist swing a pocket watch over your face. According to DR. Whether you believe in hypnosis or not, it is a form of science that has been used for the past one hundred years to treat various medical conditions. Hypnosis was not accepted in mainstream academia until the late 1800s when two schools were opened to study this phenomenon.
