Pro-life and Pro-choice Philosophies on Abortion
In ancient times, before abortion techniques were developed, the civilizations used contraceptive techniques to regulate childbirth. However, in recent times, the debate is based on several perspectives, including the following; pro-life angles, and the pro-choice perspective. This paper will give an in-depth view of the pro-life and pro-choice perspective with regards to abortion.
The pro-life perspective is made up of two significant approaches, and these are the religious view on abortion and the moral path. The spiritual approach takes the understanding of the divine laws that exist in various religions across the globe (Lopez, 2012). The approach follows the rules that exist in numerous religious books such as the Bible and the Quran. The orthodox approach does not require much debate as the principles followed are often those that are stated in the religious beliefs in religious books.
