The Applications of Learning Theories
Learning has been around for many years, with several psychologists attempting to put down a solid definition of the word, only for one to be acknowledged by most of the scientific community. “Learning is an enduring change in behavior, or in the capacity to behave in a given fashion, which results from practice or other forms of experience” (Schunk, 1991). While modern learning theories still has multiple gaps, the primary goal is providing a sense of familiarity with the pronounced learning theories, Behavioral, Constructive, and Cognitive. In order to be able to apply these learning theories in a variety of different environments, it is crucial that they are completely understood.
Behaviorism.
Behaviorism means learning according to the changes happening in the surrounding environment, it is accomplished when an appropriate response is a result after being presented with an environmental stimulus. (Newby and Ertmer, 2013). The main element to learning by acquiring a new behavior depends primarily on the stimulus, the reply, and the defining link between them while emphasizing on the importance of consequences.
