Drugs abuse is a common practice in schools. It is a substance that makes students develop an addiction towards a particular drug and eventually influence changes in their lifestyle (Longshore & Hsieh, 2018). Possible changes that drugs cause include mental instability which results into negative financial status and family relationships. In other words drug is a combination of different substances that change the state of ones mind in a way that it is not possible to perceive what happens in your life. It happens mostly to young adults especially school going students.
There are various reasons why school going children would prefer taking drugs. Curiosity to understand what happens when one is under the influence of drug is a major one and the second reason is peer pressure.
Drug has negative effect on the body and mind of a child. It sometimes able to suddenly increase the energy level of a child or calm them instantly. Some students use drug to help them cope with certain conditions.
The effect of drug varies according to individual condition. When one wants to cope with a given condition, he or she must try a drug and because of the addiction, it is not easy to accept reality (Longshore & Hsieh, 2018). Drug alter the way one thinks and behave and as such it impairs family relationships.
Drug abuse is therefore a serious social problem in our societies. Therefore it should not be taken lightly. Its effect cause irreparable condition in young children. Students abuse drug to cope with situations but it is simply a way of postponing reality.
