The purpose of this research is to investigate the relationship between ADHD and emotion regulation. The first part of this research will explore the prevalence of ADHD and emotion regulation. The second part will discuss the measures used to evaluate emotional regulation in ADHD. The third part will examine interventions for ADHD that focus on emotion regulation. Finally, the fourth part will summarize the findings of this literature review and provide recommendations for future research. Prevalence of ADHD and Emotion Regulation To investigate the relationship between ADHD and emotion regulation, it is first necessary to explore the prevalence of ADHD and emotion regulation. This would be accomplished by reviewing the historical data set. The historical data set would provide information on the prevalence of ADHD and emotion regulation in the population over time. The Measures Used to Evaluate Emotional Regulation in ADHD Measures to evaluate emotional regulation in ADHD have been primarily subjective. However, there is a need for objective measures of emotion regulation in ADHD. The development of objective measures of emotion regulation would allow for the evaluation of emotional regulation in ADHD in a more standardized manner. Interventions for ADHD that focus on emotion regulation There is a growing body of literature on interventions for ADHD that focus on emotion regulation. To date, these interventions have shown promise in improving the symptoms of ADHD. However, more research is needed to determine the efficacy of these interventions.
