Introduction
Government and other institutions enact and enforce policies to protect individuals, property, the climate, and other social elements from socio-economic problems. The policies’ critical role is to prevent destruction, alleviate suffering and enhance the general well-being of all social structures. One of the most prevalent social issues in the US is homelessness. Homelessness is a diverse social problem that affects individuals from all walks of life, including children and adults. The homelessness results are poor- socio-economic status and limited access to and utilization of life chances and opportunities. In addition, homelessness deprives one of fundamental social rights and amenities such as housing and healthcare. Consequently, the US government has enacted several policies to reduce homelessness and protect the well-being of the affected citizens. The most effective policy for solving this social problem is Better Care- Better Job Act.
