The media plays an important role in forming and presenting information to the public. Most people depend on the media for news updates, current affairs in government, and general information about the world. According to a journalist, Frank Holmes, the media is essential in informing the public. However, the media is also a conduit for a public opinion since certain aspects of societal discourse are discussed in the media.
