Class attendance is a better form of obtaining knowledge direct from the tutors and several presentations. The lecturers want the students to report to classes so that they can teach them directly (Biggs, 2011). On the other hand, students want to be given liberty to decide the lectures to attend. As a result of the complexity of controlling a school-wide turnout strategy, most colleges and universities present the lecturers authority to set their attendance regulations. This paper is going to talk about the validity of this topic from diverse views from different sources.
In my opinion, students should attend classes. While attending classes, students have the chance to study more competent, to make friends with their classmates and to learn responsibility and discipline (Biggs, 2011). When the learners attend lectures, they learn academic knowledge in an easier way. The best lectures do more than the secondary sources of information like books do to the books (Harry & Klingner, 2014). The teachers present useful information in a way clear manner like pictures, and documentary movies. Besides, in class the learners have the opportunities to engage in a discussion groups with colleagues.
Alternatively, students can make friends with peers through class attendance. Many lasting relationships began in schools, colleges and even universities (Harry & Klingner, 2014). It is the period where great friendships are established. Besides, talking and laughing with each reduces the stress for exams thus improving the learners in the long-run (Harry & Klingner, 2014). Alternatively, the apprentice can use the networks and experience created in the schools as a foundation for finding a job after graduating from university.
Similarly, students learn responsibilities and discipline with the regulations and code of conduct of the school, college and university (Harry & Klingner, 2014). They should report to the classes at a precise time and particular place. Responsibilities and discipline are very significant in the profession market. Attending classes on time and following the timetables for the classes, prepares the learners for their future job.
