Getting my Egg Nest in Order
There are several steps that I will take to get my nest egg in order. These measures are related to reducing recurrent expenditure and investing funds in assets and securities that will provide returns. The first step is scrutinizing my budget to identify items and the proportion of earnings they take. From “The Millionaire Next Door” synopsis, one mark of a financially successful person is living well below their means. As such, I intend to analyze spending on items such as rent, transport, and other recurrent items. Furthermore, I intend to reduce the proportion of income spent on such recurrent items and increase the proportion spent on non-recurrent expenditure. The major challenge in this case is reducing expenditure on items that essential to maintain standards of living I am accustomed to.
