Krasner argues that rulers always have a desire that motivates them to stay in power from historical times till date. This is however made impossible by the existence of principles and obligations that they are forced to adhere to, some internationally, in order for order to avoid chaos in the international system. (Krasner, 1999) This is what he describes as organized hypocrisy and more so because these rules which have been there through time and establishments are often violated.
