Introduction
Development during lifecycle consists of the pregnancy period, infancy stage, kindergarten period, middle childhood, youth, young parenthood, mid parenthood, and late old age. The pregnancy period happens from the stage of conception to delivery; infancy stage begins from birth to three years; and the kindergarten period ranges from three years to six years. Consequently, intermediate childhood starts from six to twelve years; youth period ranges from twelve to twenty years old, young parenthood starts from twenty to forty years old, and mid parenthood ranges between forty to sixty-five years old. Lastly, late old age begins from sixty-five years old up to demise. The different development theories and theorists such as the developmental theory of Abraham Maslow states that for each developmental period, there are cognitive, physical, social and emotional variations (Feldman, 2013). There are as well numerous factors during the life expectancy that impact one's development in the course of each of the periods stated above. Poverty and unemotional family are among the factors that are greatly influential to the developmental course commencing in the pregnancy period to late old age. Being raised from a poverty-stricken and unemotional family background, I have developed anger towards my parents, resentment, and inability to love another person, and these form the premise of this paper.
