Part 1- The Future of Public Administration
The current economic environment immensely invests in the education sector. The government is encouraging the provision of trainings to its citizens in order to increase the market competency in terms of labor. Skilled labor in fields such as engineering, IT, medical fields and technology in general are likely to elevate the public sector.
The use of the modern technology is also a current economic issue in production. The technology is employed to ease production in industries and other sectors. This is likely to increase the level of production and thus improved quality and quantity of produce. The management of the public sector can also be checked by the technology such as security systems and computers.
In the next presidential administration, I think the economy will deteriorate further. With each day, there have been cases of increased inflation and other issues such as the fiscal cliff. With the skyrocketing prices of commodities and the cost of production in the economy, the president may not solve issues such as unemployment, global warming, and security threats. The administration of the public sector will follow suit and it will experience the same issues in the next presidential regime.
Part 2 – major issues in the public sector
The main issues in the public sector are reluctance to diversity and integrity issues. The government can no longer monopolize the regulation of the product security currently. It cannot accumulate all budgets and the required skills in production. Therefore, it is forced to enter into partnerships with other parties or stakeholders. Integrity is also an issue due to increased corruption and lack of employee monitoring in the public sector.
These issues will immensely influence the services of the public goods. The lack of diversity due to government regulation will lead to low productivity level and sale of substandard goods to consumers. The government may not provide services that are trendy due to inability to employ the most current technology. Integrity issues will lead to low skilled production and lack of equality in the job market. Embezzlement of the funds will also lead to economic regression if it lacks accounting.
Part 3 - Public Administration, the Citizen, and the Consumer
My attitude towards public administration has become positive currently. Most public administrators exhibit transparency in their undertakings. The government also embraces technological changes and diversity by allowing collaborations. This will increase the quality of production and improve the economy.
In the career sector, I am assured of a job since there is the creation of new job opportunities. The opportunities will also embrace technological advances and skills I have. The methodology of selection will also be transparent without prejudgments.
The course will change how I interact with the public service people as a consumer. They will be competent to offer quality services to consumers. They will also be informed of the current trends such as consumer orientations. As a citizen, the course will make me love my country and get patriotic. It will enable me gain confidence in my country if they offer transparent services.
