Should Cars be Banned in Cities?
As cities become increasingly overcrowded, there is a need to implement proactive measures to reduce congestion as well as air and noise pollution (Loo, 2018). One of these ambitious measures is banning cars from accessing city centers and encouraging people to walk, bike, or use public transportation. According to the World Economic Forum (2018), by 2050, appropriately two-thirds of the global population will be living and working in overcrowded cities. Therefore, this paper will discuss why banning cars from accessing cities is an excellent idea to decongest cities and reduce air and noise pollution.
