Introduction.
Social problems are responsible for major teething troubles in today’s societies. Nowadays societies face a lot of challenges as a result of different factors and situations. This paper analytically examines the social challenges that societies face these days. Social challenges tend to lead the society away from its normal ways of life, traditions and bring division among the people. Factors that affect societies socially are racism, crime, drugs, media propaganda, corruption, divisive politics, poverty and gender inequality.
Social problems in today’s life is accountable for many challenges that are experienced in societies. To begin with racism as a social factor affecting the society, having been noted in many occasions where other people perpetuate this act. The most perfect instance is in the football scenario. Footballers of African descent experience many instances of racism in comparison to their white counterparts. This act is due to difference in skin complexion and look. Such acts tend to bring in a lot of rivalry in societies where both groups live among each other and may lead to even worse scenarios. Earlier mid this year we experienced a saddening situation in South Africa where the original residents of the country were killing alien residents in the country a condition known as xenophobia. Such acts tend to go against the societal way of life and tradition and brings division among the people.
